Following his studies in business informatics, information processing, and robotics, he launched his professional career at SAP, the global leader in software for managing business processes.

During his time at SAP Schweiz AG, Ernst Zeller was a key contributor to the development of the regional public services sector. In his role as Vice President Public Services, he was responsible for the implementation and optimization of finance, HR, and logistics processes in Swiss public administrations. During his leadership, the “Harmonized Accounting Model HRM” was integrated into SAP financial applications. Furthermore, he coordinated the inaugural global pilot implementation of industry solutions for utility companies in Berne and facilitated the reorganization of standard processes in public and private companies. 

In his capacity as Chief Operating Officer of SAP Mexico and Central America, Ernst Zeller was responsible for the oversight of Professional Services, including partner management, consulting, support, and training. During this period, SAP Mexico & Central America assumed responsibility for ERP and industry solutions in the region, and coordinating projects in collaboration with SAP USA and Latin America. Ernst Zeller provided support to international automotive manufacturers, utility companies, oil companies and leading retail chains, banks, and insurance companies in the implementation of ERP systems with supply chain management capabilities. 
 
As a managing consultant, Ernst Zeller provided guidance to companies in Europe and overseas, assisting them in optimizing their business management and implementing effective cybersecurity measures. He led studies in collaboration with the research community to provide companies with the tools they need to protect themselves against the growing digital threats they face and to make them more resilient.
